Precision Medication Management for Lasting Mental Wellness

Psychiatric medication management is far more than writing a prescription. At Mind Body Health & Wellness, we take a thorough, individualized approach — carefully evaluating your history, current symptoms, prior medication trials, and overall health before recommending any medication.

Our ongoing chronic care management model means we don't just prescribe and disappear. We schedule regular follow-up visits to monitor your response, adjust dosages as needed, watch for side effects, and coordinate with other members of your care team. This continuous oversight is what separates effective psychiatric care from a one-size-fits-all approach.

Medication management services are available both in our Martinsville office and via telehealth, making it easy to stay consistent with your care plan. We serve patients ages 8 and older across Indiana.

Medication Management: Frequently Asked Questions

What is psychiatric medication management?

Psychiatric medication management is the ongoing process of evaluating, prescribing, monitoring, and adjusting psychiatric medications to optimize their effectiveness and minimize side effects for each individual patient.

How often will I need follow-up appointments?

Follow-up frequency depends on your condition and treatment stage. New patients typically have more frequent visits (every 2–4 weeks) while establishing a medication regimen, transitioning to monthly or quarterly visits once stable.

Do you prescribe medications for children and adolescents?

Yes. We provide psychiatric medication management for patients ages 8 and older, including children and adolescents. Pediatric psychiatric medication requires careful consideration and monitoring, which we take very seriously.

What if my medication isn't working?

If your current medication is not providing adequate relief, we will work with you to explore alternatives — including dosage adjustments, medication changes, augmentation strategies, or referral for advanced treatments like TMS or Spravato.

Can I get my prescriptions sent to my local pharmacy?

Yes. We send prescriptions electronically to the pharmacy of your choice. For controlled substances, we follow all applicable federal and state regulations.

Do you provide therapy in addition to medication management?

Our focus is psychiatric medication management and evaluation. We strongly encourage patients to work with a therapist alongside medication, and we are happy to coordinate care with your existing therapist or provide referrals.
